lo!

40 years ago today was the first time that two computers exchanged information using packet switching and telephone lines[1]. While it was only possible to send 2 characters ("lo") before the receiving system crashed, it was a success nonetheless.

Just think where we'd be today without someone who once tried to send the word 'login' (and the DoS it created ;))
