AFAIK the default (system) log directory is: /var/log
Is /oracle_backups another partition/disk/mountpoint, which might not be mounted at the time you were looking for its subdir ./log?
Hope his helps
Hi Sea,
Is /oracle_backups
another partition/disk/mountpoint, which might not be mounted at the time you were looking for its subdir ./log?
/oracle_backups is a directory present under / root directory and yes its subdir.

Is there anything else in /oracle_backups?
Or is just ./log missing?
If there is nothing else, i'd check your /etc/fstab.
Or whatever method you use to mount the backup path to /oracle_backups.
If there are other files but just ./logs are missing in /oracle_backups, i'd assume it got deleted.
Wouldnt know where to get started in that case..
Hope this helps
Hi Sea,
--Files inside logs folder were missing.
No problem and not sure why files under logs folder were missing. To my surprise i could see files are back now under logs folder
and not sure how they have come back.
Thanks for your guidance.

Maddy
