Difference between Unix and HP Unix

Hi everyone, I would like to know what is big difference between Unix and HP Unix, if someone know, can you please explain it to me. Many thanks

this would be the same as telling you what is the difference between linux and ubuntu...

unix == unix != unix

maybe you get a hint here: Rosetta Stone for Unix

hp-ux is unix

Technically....

HP-UX is a "UNIX." Solaris, IRIX, AIX, and even the new Mac OSX is UNIX in that it adheres to certain standards for what makes something UNIX. Linux is a UNIX-Like OS, and is sometimes lumped into the UNIX category. Think of it like apples, where Macintosh, Granny Smith and Golden Delicious are all apples, but have diffferences.

This site has a detailed functional comparison between HP-UX and other UNIX systems (including Solaris and AIX). It should give you an idea of the advantages that HP-UX has.
