Difference between CPU CHIP and CPU ID

Hi All,

What is the difference between CPU CHIP and CUP ID on SUN/ Oracle M5000 servers..

Thanks in advance

what is your exact problem? what are you referring to? whole chip to core/thread?

Thanks Duke!

I am on "Sun SPARC Enterprise M5000 Server" And trying to understand the below output from prtdaig

==================================== CPUs ====================================

      CPU CPU Run L2$ CPU CPU

you have the 2,53 GHz Sparv64VII cpu. in your domain are two physical cpu (0 and 1) combined at LSB 00 (Logical System Board). every cpu has 4 cores with two threads each.

you can get more information from the XSCF running the commands:

showboards -a -v
showdcl -a -v
