So I'm trying to work with a Linux box that was designed by a group of people who are no longer around and I'm having difficulty getting into the box. The board has an ethernet port and two serial ports, but it doesn't look like there is a getty service running on either serial port which leaves the ethernet port for interface.
The problem is that they have the board set up to use DHCP so I can't figure out how to set it up so that I can telnet to it. Can anyone help me with this? I'm pretty good with routing protocol but I've never really worked with DHCP on a technical level. I'm trying to interface with it using a laptop running Ubuntu.
