crontab logadm vs. logchecker in Solaris 10

We are upgrading netra servers from Solaris 8 to Solaris 10. With Solaris 8 we've been running /etc/cron.d/logchecker and /usr/lib/newsyslog in crontab. I understand that starting with Solaris 9 log rotation is now done with /usr/sbin/logadm.

Does anyone know how the Solaris upgrade will handle the crontab?

Will it wipe the old log rotation scripts and insert logadm (with some default conf file I assume)?

Or will it leave logchecker and newsyslog in crontab and I'll need to remove them myself?

Any info would be appreciated.

(I am looking forward to Solaris 10, but change is hard )

Hi all,

Our servers were on Sun Solaris 8.1, anytime a cron job executed the user ran that job received a email of job's output. I think that the default and Administrator did not setup anything.
However, when we upgraded the OS to Sun Solaris ver.10, the cron job is no longer send a email message "cron output" to user. I'm wondering, the ver 10 lost that default feature or that is a bug of ver10.
Anyone is in the same shoe. Thanks
