I am new to shell script.
I have to write a shell script which will login to remote server then check for the space there. There 50 remote ervers all are having different password.
Could you please suggest me some way. I am working on solaris box.

May be can help you:
Generate a public key and put this key in the 50 servers.
If you have that many servers, why wouldn't use nagios or some other web-based monitoring tool? You could deploy nrpe with nagios, which could handle remote calls from a cerntral server, including telling you how much space is available.
