Configure EMC Powerpath?

Hi ,
I have a redhat 5.3 server which has 2 vg.. one is rootvg in local harddisk and another one is applicationvg in SAN.. When I reboot the server , EMC powerpath driver is not starting up automatically. Hence applicationvg is not mounting properly. Therefore I need to unmount it manually and then I can get into system.

1.How do I start up emc powerpath driver automatically... ?

I did lsmod and restart the service.. still it gives the same problem...

I thought of uninstall and reinstalling the emc powerpath and reconfigure the whole thing... is that good idea???

If so, How do i configure the EMC Powerpath?

You can either do this as a low number init script or you can see if there is a way to build it into an initrd.

Does EMC offer documentation on how to configure this?

No I dont have any documentation. Can you please help me with this.??

There should be a /etc/modprobe.conf.pp and a reference to it in modprobe.conf. If they are there, perhaps your SAN drivers do not get loaded at boot time and the mkinitrd did not go right? What do the logs say?

The Powerpath Install and Admin Guide is available here and elsewhere on the Internet. It really behoves you to download and read the document.
