Command for unix to dos conversion

Dear All

Could you please advice how do we convert a unix file to dos
I know one command,ux2dos, which somehow does not work to give desired output

Inputs on this is appreciated

unix2dos

Do you mean convert Unix carriage return to Windows text file carriage return format?
That is what joeyg gave you. ux2dos is another name for the same code.

What EXACTLY did ux2dos not do correctly?

From previous posts we deduce that this is HP-UX where the commands are indeed ux2dos and dos2ux.
Assuming that your files are genuine text files there is very little to go wrong.
It is important to transfer the files between DOS and unix platforms in a manner which does no extra conversion (e.g. Binary FTP).
