Changing user profile - Newbie question

Hi guys, I am very very new to AIX, (actually today I entered an AIX server for the first time), but I have worked with Solaris a little bit in the past.
Today when I entered the system, the first thing I realized is that there was no "/home/[myUserID]" directory created, and instead it took me to a "/home/guest" directory, so no problem. But when I tried to find a ".profile" or ".login" file, I could not. So my question is, how do I do in AIX if I want the system to run certain things when my user logs in (for instance, loading some aliases and so)?
Thanks in advance,
Panchopp.

Ok, I went through the "Files Reference" & "System User's Guide". And I believe it would work if I could create my home directory and the .profile file inside of it, correct? but I do not have authority to do so. Is this sth I should ask the system administrator?
Thanks again,
Panchopp.
