Bourne Shell scripting help

Write a program that will allow a user to input as many numbers as the user wants (use 999 as the choice that ends the user input). The program will then respond:

Highest Number: Answer
Lowest Number: Answer
Sum of the numbers: Answer
Average of the numbers: Answer

min=90000

[ $num -ge $max ] && max=$num
[ $num -le $min ] && min=$num
n=\`expr $n \+ 1\`
done

Can any1 help me out i cant figure this out
