Binary operator expected Error

Here is line number 59 of my script

     59 if [ -f apps*on.txt ]; then

I get the following error at this line.

[: apps2.tmp.cfg_on.txt: binary operator expected"

Can you please explain why ?

I explained why this doesn't work in your other thread less than an hour ago.

Can you apply what you learned there, to this? They are the same.
