Adode reader does not work - libraries are missing - where to get them?

Hi.

I use HP-UX 11.23.
After installation of adobe reader I've got the following error:

/usr/lib/dld.sl: Can't open shared library: /user/unibat/hppahpux/gtk/usr/local/lib/libgdk_pixbuf_xlib-2.0.sl
/usr/lib/dld.sl: No such file or directory

The first library exists (dld.sl). Where could I get libgdk_pixbuf_xlib-2.0.sl?

Thanks.

The GTK+ binaries for HP-UX can be downloaded from:

HP Unix - Java - GTK 2.6 License

Thanks.

I tryed this site previously too.

But download speed is about 1024byte/sec and even less. It would take a lot of time to download the package, it is about 40M.
I remember such speeds only from phone modem times of mid 90w...

Is there some other source for this package?

A solution to this post for all posterity.

Adobe Forums: Core Dump acroread HPUX 11.23... ( read last thread )

Install the PARISC GTK not the Itanium version( even if you are installing on Itanium ). During install make sure to allow incompatible versions.

I had a similar case with 11.11 (PA-RISC) with Acrobat7, the solution was to export correctly:

export SHLIB_PATH=/usr/lib:/etc/opt/resmon/lib:/opt/mx/lib:/opt/mx/jre/lib/PA_RISC/native_threads:/opt/wlm/lib:/opt/gnome/lib:/opt/gtk2.6/lib/

All the best
