Add new disk to Sun StorEdge 3310 RAID

HI guys.
Bit of a noob so bear with me.

I have 2 new disks I want to add to my StorEdge 3310 but am getting lost in the steps. We have another 3310 (JBOD) that I was able to plug the disks into and they instantly showed up. Did a few minor commands after (drvconfig, devfsadm etc..) and I was good to partition the slices...

On our 3310 (RAID) I plugged them in and its not seeing them:

# format
Searching for disks...done

AVAILABLE DISK SELECTIONS:
       0. c1t0d0 <SUN36G cyl 24620 alt 2 hd 27 sec 107>
          /pci@9,600000/SUNW,qlc@2/fp@0,0/ssd@w21000004cfd967a7,0
       1. c1t1d0 <SUN36G cyl 24620 alt 2 hd 27 sec 107>
          /pci@9,600000/SUNW,qlc@2/fp@0,0/ssd@w21000004cfd964d1,0
       2. c2t0d0 <SUN-StorEdge3310-0325 cyl 35424 alt 2 hd 127 sec 127>
          /pci@8,600000/pci@1/scsi@4/sd@0,0

What steps do I need to perform to allow the server to see the 2 new added disks. (SEAGATES)

Thanks

you have to logon to the array...

So can I accomplish that by plugging a laptop into the serial port of the array? I did see some documentation about doing that.

What would the steps be after that?

you can use a serial line... but note, the default setting for this device is 38400 bauds! for the steps after connecting, use the documentation... haven't worked on such an array for years...

Used serial lin ebut still can't connect with hyperterminal.
Says I am connected and when I type anything just puts x's on the screen...

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

K I was able to get to a login screen using baud 9600 but not sure of the id and password. Is there a default one I can use?

Alright making progress.

After a lot of reading about the SCSI 3310 array I have determined there is a single bus configuration. I have added two 72 GB disks to the array and would like to set them up using sccli.

Does anyone know where I can locate that documentation in sun?
