64K Paging taking place when available system ram exists

We are on AIX 6100-03-01 and our Admin said we are hitting "64K PAGING TAKING PLACE WHEN AVAILABLE SYSTEM RAM EXISTS " issue addressed by IZ71987 / IZ71850 / IZ72031 / IZ71191 / IZ71603.
We are thinking to upgrade the OS to AIX 6.1 TL 6 SP3.

Wondering if this issue "64K PAGING TAKING PLACE WHEN AVAILABLE SYSTEM RAM EXISTS " still exists on AIX 6.1 TL 6 SP3 ?

Can you guys help to confirm this?

You can check with "instfix" if a specific APAR is included in your installed version:

# instfix -ik "IZ42940"

would tell you if "IZ42940" (to be precise: the fix for this) is installed or not.

See also (might be helpful):

# instfix -iv

I hope this helps.

PS: There should also be a page at IBMs "Fix Central" where you could search for this information for any given version/subrelease of any package. I didn't try to find the page now, but used to use it several times, you will find it relatively easy.
