variable initialize question

I have a question about C program for Unix:
Do we have to intialize every variable before we use them in C?
I thought we have to untill I found some programs are not intialize the variable before they were used.

You dont have to initialize them, but you do have to declare them.

However, It's always a good idea to initialize variables in C.

Two kinds of initialization
1.) Compile Time (static, extern, const, etc...)
2.) Run Time (dynamic, loop iterations, etc...)

To answer your question, yes. If you do not initialize
your variable, the variable is just given garbage.

Maybe you should show us some programs you found.
