Tru64 system crash

Hello All

We are using Tru64 Unix V4.0D on a Digital Alpha 1200 machine, which by coincidence, crashed last night! Completely out of the Blue!!! After rebooting the system and recovering the databases everything seemed to work ok. It is however, discomforting not to know how or why the system crashed in the first place.

Anyway, could anyone give me some ideas, pointers or anything else on how I could investigate this further?

or you can type command "uerf" (If you do not know how to use uerf , man uerf first)

You may also have messages in the console log file
ours is in /usr/var/adm/messages

also check /usr/var/adm/syslog.dated

If your parameters are set, you also generate a crash dump on bootup.
check the man pages on craschdc
