I thought I had seen all errors in SSH but the following is new to me:
buffer_get: trying to get more bytes 129 than in buffer 6
Anyone seen this before please? Google search returns nothing of use that I can see.
I am running an lpar on a 52A and the O/S is AIX 5.3 TL 4CSP.
Solved it! Rechecked the entries in the calling server and discovered the ssh key had been added incorrectly, instead of a continuous string the entry had been pasted with carriage returns at the ends of the data lines. Re-pasted the correct string and now it works quite happily. Some error message that is!!

In this case you can always run ssh with "-vvv" flag to get more clarity. Thanks for sharing the solution.
