Send HTML graph using sendmail

Hi all.
Urgent help required. I am trying to send and HTML/PNG fromat graph from UNIX using sendmail. The graph needs to be in the body of the HTML email and NOT an attachment.:wall:

Any ideas and help will be really appreciated.

you need to put the png file in some of the location, so that, you can access it through a URL

eg : http://ipaddress.com/somefolder ( use any httpdocs if you installed apache in your server )

and provide the URL in your html code

<img src = "http://bla...bla....">

Thanks for the reply.
I have tried img src = 'and pointed it to a unix location'
It send a blank email with the red 'X', like the one we see when the image can not be loaded.
I am sending the email from UNIX to a windows email address.

This will not work ( if you provided the location as /home/user/abc/xyz.png

the link you provided should be access through the normal web browser also. ( it should be accessed by everyone )

Hi,
Even if its just a .gif thats static?
Basically I just want to copy and paste the mage into the email like i would do if sending the mail from windows.

no, you cant do like that..

you need a proper url and give that url link in <img> tag.

Hi,
I am using SAS to create the PNG and it saves the file in my UNIX home direcctory.
I am not doing it from a WEB development persepective, I want to acomplish this purely from UNIX, as well I dont have access to the website to add the image to the repository. Basically my SAS code runs in a batch job on a UNIX box.

Now I am really sorry.
