MOTD - Daily single message

Is there any way to display a different but daily MOTD when users login to the system without having to write some phrase or thoughts every day into it?

EDIT: Or how can I update the content of this file with some strings inside a txt file everyday?

Any help will be much appreciated!

Will give an idea how:
Ubuntu Manpage: update-motd - Automatically update the message-of-the-day (MOTD)

Thanks mate, I'll have a look at it.

This is what I was looking for, thank you so much mate!

I read what was the update-motd package for and is just what I need. I was pretty anxious to make some tests. Now I got some time I found that the package is no longer available.

me@host:~$ sudo apt-get install update-motd
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Couldn't find package update-motd

Any of this packages has a similar use?

me@host:~$ apt-cache search motd
mythtv-status - Show the status of a MythTV backend
sysnews - display system news
xmotd - a message of the day browser for X
base-files - Debian base system miscellaneous files
libpam-modules - Pluggable Authentication Modules for PAM
samgar@laptop:~$

Does someone knows where can I found it? Any help will be much appreciated!
EDIT: I'm running Ubuntu 8.04
