Hello,
I'd appreciate any thoughts or pearls of wisdom on this issue. I can't find anything that helps. I even had to look on page 2 of my google search results
Scenario:
This is a Solaris10 Jan13 x86/64 VM that I stood up last week. I'm trying to prep for a Live Upgrade next month.
I was(am) having trouble getting lucreate to work. While I was troubleshooting, I noticed that there are *no* active BEs. Isn't that an issue? Could that be why lucreate is failing?
Here is some output for you:
# lustatus
ERROR: No boot environments are configured on this system
ERROR: cannot determine list of all boot environment names
# lucurr
ERROR: No boot environments are configured on this system
ERROR: cannot determine boot environment name for mount point </>
Thanks for your time.

Found an obsurce google search result that suggested to check the /etc/lutab file.
Sure enough, this VM didn't have one. So I created it and added my BE details. Oracle says not to tamper with the /etc/lutab file, but hey, I took a chance.
Now, lustatus is returning an expected result.
