Please forgive but I am new to Linux and still learning. When installing Linux (any flavor) over PXE, it asks if you want to customize which packages to install. Most engineers ask us to install all packages but this entails A LOT of clicking. Is there a way to "select all" packages by using a keystroke?
Linux is the 5-megabyte file which loads when you boot your computer. Anything else is software that someone bundled with it.
So, we really don't know the menu system you're looking at. It might be something your engineers rolled up custom for all we know. Could you be more specific?
Yes, I'm talking about the optional software packages that can be included with the OS. I didn't realize this was custom. I will talk with my engineers and ask them if they know a shortcut keystroke. Thanks!
Installing "all packages" can be a big no-no, fyi. That includes a lot of servers and daemons which might not be properly secured yet if you don't do so yourself.
