grafix and sound on Sparc CPU?

Hi, I'm new to this forum AND to UNIX and here are my questions:

I have a Sun V480 server sitting here, and I would like to use it. Mainly just for education. Now, I would like to know if I can buy a videocard and a soundcard and install them on this machine? I have looked at som videocards, but I can't seem to find any drivers written for the SPARC platform? Sure they have it for Linux, but only x86?!

I meen, some people use Sun servers and workstations for multimedia purposes. So logicly there are to be multimedia PCI cards to buy, or?

There are indeed graphic cards for Sparc harware, but the problem you have been having is that you are searching for the wrong keyword.

Instead of graphic crad or video card, substitue "frame buffer" and you have a lot more luck. This document might also be of some use to you.
