Domainnaming

I can't keep the domainname on my solaris 8 box. It will keep the domainname I give it for the day but that is it. the next day it is gone. I have tried two things:

domainname (domainname I wanted)

and

I have done a sysunconfig and set the domainname.

Both gave me the same results. Is there a command to type in to keep the domainname for more than I day?

You must be rebooting. At start-up time, if the file /etc/defaultdomain exists, the contents will be fed to the domainname command. So create that file and put the domainname in it.
