Zsh is a UNIX command interpreter (shell) which of the standard shells most resembles the Korn shell (ksh). This release has a new option COMBINING_CHARS to support combining characters in multi-byte mode. It has better support for coloring and highlighting of command lines, better support for debugging shell code, and a new dynamic directory naming feature. There are also many bugfixes.
