is tr any sp. reason s der. b/w /etc/checklist & /etc/fstab

Please make an effort to follow that rule.
/etc/checklist was the historical name. HP changed this to /etc/fstab during the transistion from HP-UX 9 to HP-UX 10. /etc/checklist is a link provided for compatability but you should ignore /etc/checklist and use /etc/fstab.
