I am new in hp ux and I want work with vi editor, but in hp ux vi editor the backspaes and del keys doesn't work.
how can I enable them.

backspace is NO vi key! use "x" for delete a charakter....

Enable the full power of vi by getting familiar with it.

to delete a letter ..press escape key and then press x
to insert a letter .. press i and then insert the letter
to move cursor use arrow keys.
but there is no backsapce deletion in vi editor
