Upgrade SCO 5.0.2 Host to Enterprise with license

Hello,
I have an old system SCO 5.0.2 HOST (without network) and some applications on this machine. Theses applications are not installable again on other system because i have not the routines. And it's now necessary to connect this old system on local network for a "new" application.
I have SCO Licence Enterprise (but not the media) and i would like to know if it's possible to upgrade the HOST licence to Enterprise license without uninstall the applications already on this system.

Thanks you very for your answers and your suggestions.

I did an upgrade from host to enterprise once; about 20 years ago.
Here are some issues that may arise.
The installation instructions say that you will need 1300mb of free disk space in the root file system. You may be able to reduce that by not installing modules that you do not need (graphical interface, etc).
You may not be able to jump from 502 to 506 directly.
Do you have any required device drivers.
Do you have a full backup of the current system.

The 3 major applications installed on 3 customers I supported transferred across without any problems. It was a matter of backing the programs and data to tape, loading the enterprise system, and restoring the programs and data.

Once the users were added and the profiles tweaked the stuff worked as soon as I followed through with printer setup being careful to keep the names the same.

That may be an option for you if you understand the programs you are supporting.

Thank you very much for your answer.
Yes i have free disk space and i know the application a little, but i don't have the media of the "enterprise" version and i don't know where find it ?
I try to install the only one media "enterprise" but it is 5.0.7 and my license number is not good for it.
Thank you a lot if vous have suggestions.

I can provide you with download instructions for 5.0.6.

Finding a suitable network card may be a problem. I assume that your hardware only supports PCI slots, and not PCIX. The most likely cards are 3Com 3c905, or the Intel PRO-100 series.

It's good for Intel PRO-100. But I don't know if my licence is good for 5.0.6 ?

SCO sold upgrade licenses from one release to the next for several hundred dollars. However due to an oversight, you can install any version from 502 to 506 with any license (the only exception is that Compaq had their own series of serial numbers). But when you go to upgrade to 507 or 600, using a 502-506 serial number, SCO knows which version it was originally sold for, and price the upgrade accordingly.

Ok I think i understand. I can install 506 (with your download instructions that you propose to give me) and i use my 505 enterprise license. I think is right.
Thanks a lot. How do you want to give me download instructions for 5.0.6 ?

After some offline communication and testing, lm76 and I determined that to do this upgrade, requires the following steps.

  1. Upgrade the 5.0.2 host installation to 5.0.6 host.
  2. From the 5.0.6 host run custom (scoadmin->software) and install 5.0.6 Enterprise as if it were an application.
