UNIX demap_func

Hello All, would anyone be able to tell me what the sched process unix'hati_demap_func is and what might cause it to take up 95% of CPU power (seen in powertop) constantly.

A kernel process or processes is eating up CPU usage constantly and causing our tasks and access to our storage system to slow down.

Any info or direction would be very helpful.

Do you have VirtualBox installed? What are your virtual hosts doing?

There was a third party support team running a vm to analyse this server's performance. This is also coincides with running a new vm host, running a mix of Win12 and Linux machines more recently

Support guys were capturing SNMP traps for HW monitoring and last week running other tools such as Dell's DPACK.

If you think it's related to either monitoring apps or the new HW that's all I really need. That depac_func would run at 95% constantly in powertop whilst top showed kernel processes taking up 90% plus cpu usage.

Big thanks for replying.

We've rebooted the server and shut down the new vm host, symptoms appear to have gone but normally it takes 24/48hrs to reappear.
