I bought a sun workstation from ebay. Can I replace the cd-rom drive with a dvd-rom drive with any type? I mean, can I just buy a dvd-rom drive from a pc store?

the answer is an absolute MAYBE ;). i think you have to take the trial and error way to solve this. but it "should" work. look for the obp version and update to the latest version to be on the safe side...

I dun think so it will support besides a 24X-, 32X, or 48X-speed CD-ROM drive
