Hi everyone
I have a strange problem. Here is my setup:
- I have a Fedora FTP server (where a 3rd party is uploading files).
- I then open an ftp session (from a Solaris 10 server) to the FTP server and "get" all the files (place files in directory X).
- I have a samba share set up on the Solaris server (on directory X) so that Windows clients can access the files that I've transferred from the FTP server.
When I open the Samba share from the Windows clients, I cannot open the images (appears to be corrupt). However, when I obtain the files straight from the FTP server (open ftp session from Windows client to FTP server), it works.
I've tried changing the mode to ASCII when I ftp the files to the Solaris server, but still the Windows clients cannot open images on the Samba share.
Has anyone else had this problem before?

UPDATE: I've just tried it again with the "ascii" mode and it appears to have worked.
