OK, I have a DELL Poweredge 2850 fresh out of the box sitting here.
I'm thinking of putting Solaris 9 x86 on it.
Has anyone ever attempted this before, do you think it will work?
I dont want to get into something that is just going to be a enormus waste of time, so I am wondering if anyone has ever made this setup work (dell server and solaris x86)
I know dell has that internal raid controller, so ill need drivers for that.
This is the thing that worries me...
I have experimented with a dell pc and solaris x86 and it worked.
Wondering if drivers for the server hardware is readily available.
