Can any one please explain me the concept behind IPMP in solaris clustering.Basic explanation would be really appreciated...

It's like a mini cluster of two network interfaces, one is active and one is standby. The active interface holds the IP addresses used for production. If it fails, a special daemon (in.mpathd) moves the IP addresses to the standby interface.
If an interface is working or not is determined by the link status and optionally by ping other machines from both the active and the standby interface (using addresses reserved for this purpose).
