Solaris 8/07 DVD ISO for SPARC

I'm in shock! Sorry =(

Step 1. I'm download 2 segments of Sun Solaris 10 8/07 from Solaris Operating System - Get Solaris 10. After unzip they i have it:

Step 2. Next i'm read official instruction Solaris Operating System - Download & Burning Instructions
And do it:

bash$ ls -l sol-10-u4-ga-sparc-dvd.iso

Step 3. Check files with md5sum

Step 4. Burning ISO Image sol-10-u4-ga-sparc-dvd.iso to DVD-R Disc and after insert him into CDROM my Sun SPARC Enterprise T5120.

bash$ init 0

{} ok boot cdrom

Can't read disk label.

In where mistake? What i'm doing not correct ? Sorry for my bad english but i'm find your help :frowning:

Alias for cdrom on OpenBoot - is correct! I'm check it with Sun Solaris 10 11/06 Box-Version. And he work! But my 8/07 don't work ((((((

what program do you use for dvd burning? maybe there are some wrong settings...?!? everything else of you procedure looks fine...

On Linux RHEL 5.0 - k3b
On Windows Nero Burning ROM

Speed 16x with Verify data

In both variants nothing errors don't found.

I'm download even 5 CD ISO and check to md5sun they too, but OpenBoot ERROR again :((((

no further ideas... sorry.

  1. burn at the lowest speed possible.
  2. How are you burning the images in k3b or nero? You need to use the "burn image" function in either, drag and drop or "data disk" are not correct.
