Sharing internet from Ubuntu to Solaris server

I have a laptop running on ubuntu 13 connected to wifi. My sunfire v100 is connected to my laptop with an ethernet cable of course. I tried messing around with it seeing if I could do it myself but I couldn't. I want my solaris box to use the internet off my laptop. How would I do this? I'm just starting to learn solaris.

To make internet sharing simple, you'd probably want to install a simple dns and dhcp server like dnsmasq, and run it on the interface your server connects to; this will let solaris get sane settings from your computer via DHCP, rather than setting everything manually.

You'll also want to enable IP routing so it can use your computer as a gateway.

Thank you for the help!! Do you know how i would set it manually? Id like to learn for myself what to do just out of curiosity.
