Setup my Samba

Hi,

I have successfully installed the Samba on my Sparc Solaris 8.

Now I want to setup so that my PC users are able to view the files in my unix machine.

But, I don't know how to do the setup and don't know how to start samba.

My eventual goal is to let my PC users to access the files in my Unix machine without using FTP. Is it possible?

Please give me your advice.

I'm a FreeBSD man - not a Solaris, so I'm not sure about how to start it on your type of UNIX - however:

SAMBA uses a "conf" file on your system to determine which folders to share and the permissions to include. A "sample" one may have been installed - read this for details on its configuration!
