Segmentation fault(coredump)

Hi All

Can anybody help me?

When ever am trying to run topas system gives me an error Segmentation fault(coredump)

does anybody ahve solution for this?

try to reinstall/upgrade perfagent.tools

when I remember correctly I saw a graphic on an aix workshop, which showed the programs topas consists of, I think it was vmstat, iostat, netstat and a few other tools

try them, perhaps you can determine which of these tools causes topas to dump

If you do not have nmon on the machine then I suggest you down load it and run it once. Let's see if it core dumps when running this. What version of AIX are you running please?

Aix 5.2 ml patch 5

Try the NMON route as I had the same problem with a 5.3 machine. It turned out to be the shared memory settings. I actually posted the resolution on this forum so see if you can search on my name in the archives.
