SCO Licensing

Hello all, I had a few questions about SCO 5.0.7 if anyone has the time.

I have a POS system called RealWorld running on SCO 5.0.7. I have been using the EVAL60ENT code but it has expired and I'm tired of rebuilding/configuring that box from scratch - so I did a little googleing. I found a long list of SCO 5.0.7 enterprise 5-user serials but whenever I go into scoadmin, and add the license, it automatically shows as expired. I have removed the old eval license and rebooted.

Help?

You might try buying the product.

Thanks for the condescending reply! It has magically solved my problem.

And now, the rest of the story.

I took the gamble of purchasing a 1 year license I found on Google for 247.00 and that key does the same thing. There is obviously a file somewhere that has the original timestamp for when the evaluation expired. At least this is my thought.

The only one year license that I am aware of is for 5.0.7V which is the VMWare product. I don't know if this will correctly activate the standard 5.0.7 product.
All other products are have an infinite term.
The original install date is saved.
Try backdating the CMOS to approximately 30 days ago. (after the last eval install, and before the 60 day expiry) then re-install the license.
