# Replace Mbox

Hi,  
On AIX 6  
Can we replace a corrupted mbox by a healthy mbox backedup before?

What would be the use of backing files if not to restore them when deleted or corrupted?

Which user mbox? What is in it so important?

Yes.  
If there is an adjunct file like .dt\_index then delete that.

In that case, try the restore...  
Else, if still not successful set it to size 0, or remove mbox, it should be re-created at next mail..
