Choose any of: FTP/SMB/scp/rsync/WebDAV/netcat/Pen drive/external HDD/DVD/...

Or give us some more details on what you need to do.

I have some data in my laptop(xp os) and i want to copy the data to the solarie8 server how can i transfer the data from laptop to solaries8 server using cross cable.

Why don't you use ftp ? its simple and easiest way to transfer file over the network
