Re-install Ubuntu 14.04 from system with Ubuntu on it

I need to re-install ubuntu on a system with ubuntu 14.04 already installed. I have the cd but can not seem to boot from it or find the installer. Is there a way to re-install from the command line or how do I do a fresh re-install? Thank you :slight_smile:

and make sure you boot the computer from a CD upon turning it on or after power the computer on :cool:

likewise, you may need to change the boot sequence from BIOS :smiley:

you may also run the installer from your already in an existing Ubuntu by going on the cd drive and clicking the .exe-file :b:

Yes it is working, I had to change the boot sequence in bios. Thank you very much :).
