Please help me.. connection failed between OpenSSH-3.8.1 to Sun SSH-1.1

hi All,

We tried to establish a connection from OpenSSH3.8.1 running on Windows Box to SunSSH-1.1 running on Solaris 10. Please see the debug statements.

When tried to connect from client, it prompted for password and failed. Can you please suggest what went wrong?

is the communication failed because of incompatibility between SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_3.8.1p1 and Sun_SSH_1.1? Or did we miss any thing?

Thanks in Advance.

To keep the forums high quality for all users, please take the time to format your posts correctly.

First of all, use Code Tags when you post any code or data samples so others can easily read your code. You can easily do this by highlighting your code and then clicking on the # in the editing menu. (You can also type code tags

```text
 and
```

by hand.)

Second, avoid adding color or different fonts and font size to your posts. Selective use of color to highlight a single word or phrase can be useful at times, but using color, in general, makes the forums harder to read, especially bright colors like red.

Third, be careful when you cut-and-paste, edit any odd characters and make sure all links are working property.

Thank You.

Looks like the connection does not like your key files in your .ssh folder, try moving the .ssh folder out of the way and try connecting from scratch accept the machines public key and provide the password for sadmin when prompted, if that works then the SSH client and SSHD server are okay.

Take a look at:
JCN: How to use passwordless SSH
on how to set up passwordless SSH.

I have use SSH to and from Solaris 8 with Open SSH and Solaris 10 with Sun provided SSH without any problems.
