Please help about my printer

In previous version of Solaris , my printer has been working fine , but in this version of Solaris plug and play is not working .

Printer is HP psc 1215 all in one , it is supported by Solaris kernel but I do not know how to install printer .
I know for command lpadmin but i don't know how to scan USB ports .

If you have a GUI, then type this command:

# printmgr &

It will show a friendly user-interface where you can setup your printer.

Refer to this document for printer guidelines:
System Administration Guide: Solaris Printing - Sun Microsystems

Nope I was unable to enable my printer

is there any command for scaning USB ports

which version of Solaris ? Solaris 10 ?
/etc/init.d/volmgt start

whats the messages (if any) in the /var/adm/messages when you plug in/out the USB ?

Please make sure your printer is in the supported list of Solaris....Or you can always use it as a network printer, which will be easier to configure.

I have usually found that the most reliable thing to do on Solaris is to install and configure cups. That being said I now have a network printer and so never configure local printing at all anymore.

Fred Flinstone is younger then my HP psc 1215 , Solaris kernel has support for it
because in previous version of Solaris , I used my printer.
I want to set it up as local printer because Solaris is my default OS for home usage
