How i do i post a picture below my name as some of u have????
Is there a rule like only those who are moderators, administrators only can have a picture below their names???
If not, then kindly tell me how to post a picture below my name??

I clicked the links and they are not showing me any selection of avatars, instead it shows me under maintenance .
Would be nice if we can upload our own Avatars.....

Any registered user with greater than 30 posts can upload their personal avatar (picture, as you called it). This is accomplished in the User CP section.
I added my avatar from my pc but i am unable to look at it as it generally appears below the name..
Is there any way of activating it??

I don't think there are any defaults - you have to upload your own.
I also, believe that the maximum size is something like 60x60, but I'm not sure...
I tried uploading and still its not working Livinfree...

Is your image on the web somewhere?
What is the type (gif, jpeg, etc...), the size, and the color depth?
The more information you provide, the better the chances are that you will get help.
My image is a jpeg that is residing in my computer..
These are the properties of the image:
size is 10.0 KB.
size on disk is 16.0 KB
color representation is True color RGB
Would this information suffice?

The best if you could get your picture in gif why this because the size are small and easy for you to upload. One question your image size is it 60 X 60 ? Do post back.
10k?! That is way too big...
My avatar is a JPEG, but it's size is 3796 bytes, not 10,000...
Make sire the size is smaller than 60x60, and it may not hurt to put the number of colors at 16 instead of 256...
Ok now its 4,054 Bytes...
The width and height of the avatar is
78 x 105
I couldn't find a much smaller picture....

Ive tried around 70 x 85 for my case and the Forum still doesnt want to get the avatar attached. The only way you can make it to attach decrease the size to a lil bit smaller 60 x 65 for instance.
The maximum size of a picture uploaded as an avatar is:
64 X 64
Valid extensions are:
gif jpg bmp jpeg (but I've only tried gif and jpg)
Do u believe i uploaded a 40x40 image...

Where did you load the image from...I'll try for you see if it works for me.
I uploaded it from my pc... Thats all...
See where it says "Use custom avatar" on the left?
There's a lone radio button that says 'yes' next to it.
Be sure to select it before hitting Submit Modifications.
