PAM, set_rlimits

I have installed a real time kernel on ubuntu, Now, I don't know how to run in real time mode. I tried to execute commands and like emerge, PAM and alike but none were found. Then I installed set_rlimits package, it is installed.
I need a real time server, but in the tutorial it tries to run PAM or whatever. these are audio drivers !! i don't understand, how can I test my new kernel to make sure it fully supports rt.?

Sorry but we are not mind readers. If you expect anybody to be able to help you, you need to provide more information. Vague questions mean you will get vague or no answers.

For starters, please tell us which realtime kernel did you install on which version of Ubuntu?

How you read RealTime - Ubuntu Wiki?

I'm sorry, but it's really funny!

Since when did PAM become an audio driver? It's Pluggable Authentication Module which is, in a very basic term, responsible for you to be able to login to Linux machine successfully.

By the way, what do you need a "real-time server" for? I suggest that you first brush-up the concept of real-time systems first.
