do you use dedicated network adapters or do you plan to use network via vio - if so did you setup a vio server ... without any information you don't make it very easy for us to assist. Give us at least a chance to help you

P6 570 means a hmc is I believe required so it is likely they are just using IVM/HEA and there is no need for VIO virtual ethernet or even dedicated (pci) ethernet, but it will all depend on what hardware is available and what they are trying to set up.
