OSI 9.0 Installation

Dear

After i received a demo license for OSI 9.0 from SUN , i installed the packages . but when i tried to start the osinet deamon \( /etc/rc2.d/S90osinet \) i am getting the foellowing errror

# ./S90osinet start
starting osi daemon/usr/sbin/osinetd cannot find a valid license (STACK 9.0)

unable to start OSI daemon
#

The license is correct . altough i rechecked the volidity of the license .

Maybe your licensing manager daemon is not running ...

what is the licensing manager deamon ? its location ? in order to start it .

It's a daemon where your OSI stack will request for valid license before everything.

check if it running 'ps -ef | grep lmgrd' start it if not '/etc/init.d/lic_mgr start'.

Look at this directory /etc/opt/licenses/ where your license data is stored and the gui tool called lit among other things...

But i guess you don't have the right tool installed  , so be sure these 2 pkgs are on your box: SUNWlicsw & SUNWlit which are needed

A safe bet is to open a sun case

Thanks For your time

I will open a case with SUN

Best regards
