only 640x480@60Hz?

Hi,
i use sol10 with java desktop2 and i have problem with the screen resolution.
It is possible to change it up to 1024x768@100Hz? in screen resolution menu
there is only the 640x480@60Hz.

More information is required: First, are you using vmware?

If so, please see this link (thanks to chek in another thread)

If not, please post the type of monitor being used and video card.

I'm also in need of a way to change the display configuration because I'm having an "out of sync" error in my monitor.
How do I come around changing the video setting.
I'm using an UltraSPARC-IIi workstation with Viewsonic GS771 monitor.
It was working fine until last night. Someone must've changed something in the setting but I don't know how to change it back.

log in on the command line and use the fbconfig command to correct the problem. when run with no arguments it will return usage, or you can look at the man pages.

You can modify the resolution at the { ok } prompt by performing the following: setenv output-device screen:r1280x1024x76

on the command line run kdmconfig (/usr/sbin/kdmconfig)...
u can change the resolution there...
before doin that u might want to check if the .conf file has been made on ur system...
if it hasnt, run xorgconfig (/usr/X11/bin/xorgconfig)

Ingore the information in the post above this one, it relates to x86/x64 as the commands are not available on a SPARC system.
