after giving the #ifconfig -a
#

thisis the output is getting.how to resolve this problem, now iwant to make up a domain with atleast one IP.plz provide the solution

i'm a little confused but most likely just because of the language break down.

how do you know that? what commands did you use to see that your network interfaces are in fact available. are the dev paths present in /etc/path_to_inst ?

if you are running solaris 10, can you please post the output of `dladm show-dev`. my suspicion is that these interfaces aren't plumbed up yet.

Are you saying that ifconfig -a shows only the loopback interface lo0 ?
grep -i net /etc/path_to_inst shows all the interfaces but not in ifconfig ?
Are the interfaces plumbed ?
#uptime
#ls -l /etc/hostname.*
