Not able to login as normal users through console /telnet/ssh

Hi ,

I am having problem,users are not able to login through ssh or telnet.Only we can login as root user in console.

Restarted telnet and sshd ,no luck. Any ideas.

Can we all assume that the user ID has been setup for all users and the password has been set? If yes then what error message does the user recieve when trying to login? The SSH problem can be any one of a dozen things but as a pointer when setting up the user first set the password and use pwdadm -c username to reset the change password flag. Then get the user to ssh to the machine. the user should get the reply "username@machinename's password:". Once the password is entered the user will be in.
